ASHRAE®, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education, ASHRAE® shapes tomorrow’s built environment today. ASHRAE® was formed as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers by the merger in 1959 of American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHAE) founded in 1894 and The American Society of Refrigerating Engineers (ASRE) founded in 1904. ASHRAE Nigeria Chapter was established in 2009 and since then it has been contributing to the HVAC&R field in Nigeria.

Membership in ASHRAE is open to any person associated with building systems, particularly HVAC&R; energy efficiency; indoor air quality; and sustainability within the building industry. If you want to connect with like-minded people across Nigeria and the globe who are as passionate as you are about shaping the future, you should join ASHRAE. When you join ASHRAE, you are making an investment in yourself. When you become active in the ASHRAE Nigeria Chapter Society by giving your time and sharing your knowledge, you get even more out of that investment. ASHRAE membership is beneficial at all career levels. Whether you are a student, new to the industry or a seasoned professional we have a member grade that is designed specifically for you. Once you have determined the appropriate Member Grade, all you have to do is create a log in (If you don’t already have one) and join ASHRAE.org. You can also download this application and fill it then submit it through mail, fax, or email to the ASHRAE Nigeria Chapter Office and process your payment there. Once you are a member in the ASHRAE you will receive an email with your log in credentials to both the ASHRAE and ASHRAE Nigeria Chapter websites and you will be entitled to access all the members only enriching content.
